UTAG – Every time you Ride Out, Make Sure You have it On You!

There are many safety devices out there specially designed for riders but nothing like the UTAG by Bike.it (http://www.burnoutitaly.com/utag-usb), that lets you store your medical and personal information and is the most reliable piece of device that you may save your life when you can’t speak for yourself.

The roads or the trails sometimes are too rough and riding them too precarious. And even with the best of the helmet and racing suit on you, you may still be vulnerable to a swerve or a slip that may result in consequences that nobody wants to imagine. In such scenarios, the device you could rely on with all your medical and personal information is the UTAG. This device will ensure that there are no margins for errors when medical treatment is given.

Let’s introduce you to the UTAG (this may become your most prized possession):
UTAG is a usb device in which you can store all the important medical information – such as the blood group, contacts in time of the emergency, information about your doctor, medical insurance and lots more.

In order to enter information, all you need to do is plug the UTAG into a usb port on a windows computer and fill in all your essential medical and personal details. A software will open which would need to be launched into your system and synced before you can start entering the details. Know how to install the information here: http://www.burnoutitaly.com/utag-usb

You can enter information in the boxes relevant to you and leave the ones that are not related or you don’t want to share with other people. You can also mention the relationship with the people whose names and numbers you have given in the emergency contacts, allergies to food stuffs, chemicals, medicines, etc. in case you are allergic to anything.

Accidents can happen to the best of the riders and even in the safest of conditions. And no matter how experienced or well trained you are, if you are not covered or concerned about your own safety, you may have to face repercussions. With UTAG, you are prepared for the worst case scenario!

Keep your medical and personal information in tact with the UTAG usb – this may be the chip that can assure your safety in times you need it the most.

Top 5 Motorcycle Movies of All Times!

They Came, Throttled & Drove into Our Hearts Forever

Remember when Gael Garcia Bernal with his boyish looks and innocent face played Che Guevara motorcycling across the South American continent? Or When Tom Cruise cruised into our hearts when he set the box office on fire back in 2000 in Mission Impossible II as he rode in front of an explosion on 2 wheels?

Yes, we are talking about the throttle that twisted your hearts and pumped the same adrenalin into your blood that was shown on the big screen! Loved the movies that showcased the two-wheeled darings; we loved them too and are bringing for you our top 5! Now we know that every rider is different and just as each one likes a different ride, they would like a different biking story. So your choice may be different from ours but we are sure that these top 5 would feature in your list somewhere, if not in the first 10 or may be 15 but somewhere yes!

Let’s get to the list without further delay and go down memory lane on two-wheels. The list is in no particular preference order:

1. The Motorcycle Diaries (2004) – Now this movie blends in two great things of the world – Bikes & Che Guevara – the doctor-turned-revolutionary who went down history as an iconoclast. The movie presents Che’s life before he became a rebel. Driving the Norton 500 motorcycle through the Latin American continent, Gael Garcia portrays the young Che Guevara in the movie which was released in 2004. It did as much for South America’s tourism as it did to renew interest in this international cult figure. Catch the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6jz_b80V5g

2. Faster (2003) – This MotoGP documentary is a first of its kind to showcase how it actually feels like riding and living in the fast lane – riding a 500 cc bike is no joke. Titled most appropriately, this movie is a perfect film for anyone itching to get behind the scenes of the moto-racing world championship. With an adrenalin-filled cinematography and well documented sequences, this movie digs deep into the world of competition and Moto championships. Our Italian fans will love the feature on Valentino Rossi. Know the answers to the ‘whys’ here and what does it take for the fastest man to ride the fastest bike: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEMmKyR11yM

3. ChopperTown: The Sinners – Documentary yet again but one that takes you behind the engine of the powerful two-wheelers. This movie is not only about motorcycle or custom bikes built by the riders themselves but also about the true-blue biking spirit and culture that gears up and rides off whenever and wherever. Biker brotherhood is looked at in this movie from a different perspective which lead this movie to win a whole lot of awards. Choppertown keeps coming up with new movies and has its Youtube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/user/choppertown?feature=watch

4. Tron Legacy 3D (2010) – From the customized choppers to the digitized motorcycle – let’s get talking about Tron! This movie is truly a legacy and it has something for every biker who is dreaming of the superfast, lightcycles of the 22nd century. The day is not far my fellow rider, when the radioactive two-wheels will be under you and not just on the 3D screen. Not the 1982 Tron which was a code breaker in its own regard but the 2010 3D extravaganza that has everyone hooked, relive it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9szn1QQfas

And the last (there’s no saving the best one for the last, as all of them are amazing in their own content and regard but this one is sure interesting!)

5. Easy Rider (1969) – One of the cult films of the 1960s which was neither easy to take it in your stride nor a regular run of the mill biker movie. It brought home questions that main-streamers shrugged off and the counter culture rebels loved to ask. The movie was awarded the best movie at the Cannes festival and brought to fore how freedom feels like and what does it represent.
44 years ago, this wasn’t really an Easy Ride at all for some: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwST6mpT7Ds

Of course there are so many others biker movies and the scenes which we can’t get out of our minds – one of the recent ones coming to mind is Anne Hathaway’s stunning stint on the bike in The Dark Knight Rises.

Motivates us to do another post on women riders in cinema. We might just do it.

Until then, lap this up!

Motorcycle Diaries – Ride. Love. Live

0e8bc0c562965561d7ffb0d465008298

You get up, laze around in the house, get ready for the day, with only one bright light spark on that otherwise bleak horizon.

What is that? The fact that you will ride your amazing motorcycle to your destination.

If you’re a rider, then you will know the feeling when you get on that seat and feel the beast come alive. The steadily rising rumble of the engine, the grinding of the tires against asphalt, and the wind whipping against your face. It is this experience that motorcycle riders live for. And it is simply inexplicable.

Zipping through the streets at speeds that the others will only have heard about, stopping only for a cup of coffee, or for something that catches the eye

You reach your destination. Get off your motorcycle amidst a crowd of gaping people, all looking at you and your beloved. Some jealous, some simply dazzled by its sheer beauty. But the happiest and proudest is you. You secure the motorcycle, check all locks, make sure it will be completely safe and walk to your office or wherever your stop is.

You check up on your motorcycle frequently, till it is time to go back home. You relish the feeling of getting back on your bike once again, and zip off back home or detour.

You have s special designated place for your motorcycle. You polish it, clean it thoroughly until you are satisfied, and then make sure it will be completely safe for the night before making your way inside; already thinking of the next day when you will ride it once again.

That feeling. Between all riders, is the same.

We leave you with this quote, which aptly summarizes that feeling: Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul.

The Motorcycle Riding Experience

If you’ve ever driven a motorcycle, you will know the exhilarating feeling that comes with it. When the wind whips through your face, (your hair also if you’re a biker chick!), the gradually building ruble of the engine, and the sound of your tires crunching against the gravel/dust/stones, it is an out of the world experience. Not just for the driver but also for the companion rider with you. Unless you prefer riding solo

It is an experience that many motorcycle riders swear by, and are constantly on the road for that very same feeling. It is inexplicable! And there are all kinds of motorcycle riders, some who ride within the city, some who ride out on weekends, making camping trips, and some Long Distance Riders, who drive for miles and miles for a simple get-together with fellow long distance riders. And then there are the ones riding at breakneck speeds, where need for speed is a way of life. But all of these riders have one thing in common, all over the world. It’s their passion for riding. Some are born with that passion, others find it at some point in their life. But it is present. Some find love, some find their inner self, some find freedom from their daily mundane life, some get an adrenaline rush. Such is the diverse kinds of experiences gained from riding.

At Burn Out Italy, it is exactly this passion that keeps us going and makes us want to bring more and better products to you so that you have an amazing riding experience. Whether it be top class helmets, or easy to use tools, we want to bring the best to you.

Come visit us at www.burnoutitaly.com and lets share the passion

Alpinestars Motorcycle Boots for Women – Safe, Stylish & Just the Way the Women Like Their Boots

Alpinestars Vika Women's Boots

Alpinestars Vika Women’s Boots

Anyone who thinks that motorcycling, bikes and motorcycle gear is a man’s world is obviously from another century. We at Burn Out Italy are proud of our motorcycle girls and ladies everywhere. Majority has never been a measure of popularity and if the motorcycle world is dominated by men, it’s only a matter of chance not a culture trend ordained by society or fate.

There are some amazing women riders around the world, in the motor sports who have given enough competition and inspiration to their male contemporaries and we are proud of their endeavors.

In the spirit of riding, there’s a vast collection of motorcycle gear at the Burn Out Italy web store. While most of the motorcycle gear – helmets, jackets and boots are unisex, some of them are exclusively for the moto girls. This is from the amazing collection of Alpinestars Motorcycle boots – the Alpinestars Vika Waterproof Women’s Boots

Why Get Them?

They a) are from Alpinestars b) are Waterproof c) look awesome!

No, seriously, these top the lists of many riders. These Alpinestars racing boots are made from waterproof leather and suede and are extremely stylish. Yes, the fashion conscious riders and racers will love to flaunt these.

But fashion isn’t the only element making these popular as these feature top quality riding protection and safety. The boots are designed in such a way that neither fashion nor the safety features get in each other’s way but complement each other. This piece is just not a compromise on any level.

What’s more these boots are from the Vika collection and go amazingly well with the Vika Pants and clothing.

You would love these women’s boots no matter what even after using them for years, as these are durable enough to ride along with you on so many of your adventures.

Motorcycle Gloves – An important part of your Riding Gear

Alpinestars Gloves

Alpinestars Motorcycle Gloves

Having a complete riding outfit is essential for any motorcycle rider. A proper outfit will protect you from any sort of harm that could come your way. And also provide comfort from the heat or cold. A motorcycle jacket will protect you from the cold or wind. There are jackets made to keep out the heat in the summers. Boots to keep your feet comfortable, and also prevent any injury in case of a mishap.

One such important accessory are motorcycle gloves. A lot of riders sometimes exclude gloves from their outfit thinking that they are not so important. But motorcycle gloves are, in fact, a very important part. Why? Because, when we fall, we put are hands in front of us to brace ourselves for the fall. And it is a reflex action. If you are not wearing gloves, you might bruise your hands, or hurt your fingers badly. And our hands and fingers are very important parts of our body. Whereas that same bruise can be easily avoided by simply wearing the right gloves.

Not only do Gloves safeguard your hands and fingers, but also aid in providing the proper grip of your bike. Sweaty hands or numb fingers mean a loose or improper grip which means a heightened chance of falling or meeting with an accident.

A really long time back, the only gloves known to motorcycle riders wear leather gloves. With advancement in technology, Gloves are now made from a mixture of leather and textile. So you have the comfort of leather and protection of high end fabrics both in one. There are simple riding gloves, to gloves that have an added layer of protection that are usually used by professional motorcycle racers. And since gloves are not very costly, you can keep several different pairs for different weather seasons.

At Burn Out Italy, we stock all kinds of gloves, from textile and leather motorcycle gloves, full-finger and half-finger gloves to glove liners. So you have a lot of choice and can decide upon that pair of gloves that best suit your needs. You can pick yours here: http://www.burnoutitaly.com/motorcycles-clothing/motorcycle-gloves

Apart from motorcycle gloves, you can also get yourself a complete outfit if you want. All you have to do is visit us at www.burnoutitaly.com!

Stay Safe all of you!

Motorcycle Communicators – Your Connection to the World While you are Zipping Away on your Bike

Schuberth Communication System

Schuberth Communication System

When you are riding (enjoying) on your motorcycle, it’s sometimes easy to forget that there is a world around you. Because we tend to get lost in our own world, with the roaring of the engine, the rumble of the tires usually capture us into our own world.

Earlier, people used hand signals to communicate with their fellow riders. Some still do. But most of the techie riders have now embraced the Motorcycle Communicators. And they are pretty awesome if you ask us.

Motorcycle Communicators are basically connected to your smartphone or to another rider via bluetooth or a wireless connection. Depending on the type of system that you get, you could also listen to music, radio or use GPS while riding. Isn’t that just splendid!

These tiny things can serve some huge purposes, especially if your bike journeys tend to be in groups. Many a motorcyclist tend to go on long rides into the mountains, like the Dolomites in Italy, the Alps in Austria and many such routes, where it would be necessary for you to keep in touch with your fellow riders, coordinate stops, find out locations or maybe general chitchat . In cases like these, you cannot rely simply on hand signals, nor is stopping very frequently feasible. Here is where we will bow our heads and thank technology for being there with us in times of our needs. The only limitation would be that only two people can be connected at one time. But that is an easily solvable problem. Some communicators ( the Schuberth SRC-S Communication System for C3 Pro to be precise) offer an intercom conference mode for 3 bikers.

At BurnOutItaly, we love bringing such things to our much-loved customers, products that will make your riding experience much better and comfortable. We have almost all kinds of motorcycle communicators, ranging from the most simple ones to ones with maximum number of features. All you need to do is choose!

You know what you have to do now! The address is www.burnoutitaly.com

Schuberth Helmets – The Pioneer In Motorcycle Helmets and You’ll Soon Know Why!

There are some brands that are good, and some are right there on top. With absolutely no competition. Germany’s leading Helmet manufacturer, Schuberth is right up there on top.

Founded in 1922, Schuberth is best known for its pioneering design in motorcycle helmets, that excel in comfort, technology and safety. With Decades of experience in designing safety helmets, Schuberth helmets are strong, and extremely comfortable to wear.

Schuberth helmets are designed using latest technology and specifically for aerodynamic performance with which you cannot feel even the slightest bit of wind while riding your motorcycle.

Schuberth has a long standing relationship with world champion Michael Schumacher (YES!) who has a huge hand in designing their helmets and is also their lead tester! The German brand also has head-protection systems for the police, military and fire personnel. Their helmets are stylish, classy and one of the most safest ones that money can buy.

As far as safety is concerned, it is known all over that Schuberth has its own wind tunnel ( a fact you must have heard a million times because it is that awesome). Which means that they subject their helmets to a rigorous testing conditions before they are approved for sale. Schuberth obtains not just a DOT 218 certification but also the European ECE. For obtaining the European ECE, they have to take out 150 helmets (whoa!) from every 3000 helmets produced and submit them for various types of destructive testing which tests different kinds of impact.

So you see, a lot of effort goes into manufacturing these helmets, which means that a Schuberth helmet is one hell of a helmet!

At Burn Out Italy, our aim is to bring the best brands in motorcycle gear and helmets to you. We have an exclusive collection of Schuberth helmets. We also have the, wait for it, C3 Pro helmet as well as their amazing communication systems that are again, (you guessed it!), the best.

Why don’t you visit us at www.burnoutitaly.com and get yourself the desirable Schuberth helmet! Right now!
